The Great One returned from a 3 year in ring absence to make his name felt again. At New Years Nightmare in 2008 he defeated Cameron Hayden to become the RWC International Champion. The Great One once again regain the International Championship when he used his rematch clause to enter in the finals of a tournament held in July. The Great One defeated Patrica and Viper to win back the title.
The Great One had been running a small company called Wrestling Association Alive. In August the deal was sealed and The Great One and Weapon X agreed to have WAA and RWC merge, making The Great One Co-Owner of RWC. After becoming owner The Great One did not stay as a wrestler for long as he had to take full control of ownership as Weapon X stepped down from ownership.
At RWC's Pay Per View, Do or Die, The Great One was overthrown as owner by the Elite Team and Dan Sullivan. The Great One made a surprise return using his Tag Team Title rematch clause with David Arnold at New Year's Nightmare in 2009. The Elite Team won the match as Nick Stevens made a shocking appearance and attacked D-Dawg and old friend Curtis Johnson. Less than a month later at Cruel Intentions The Great One teamed up with Nick Stevens to defeat The Elite Team to win the RWC Ultimate Tag Championships.
A week later at the 3rd Annual Gwen Araujo Memorial Supershow The Great One's drought of holding a World Heavyweight title came to end when he won the 6 person Xtreme HarKore Rulz match to become the new RWC World Heavyweight Champion. Winning this title made The Great One the third ever Triple Crown Champion. The RWC's doors closing has made The Great One the last RWC World Heavyweight Champion.
