I saw this on Lords of Pain web site & thought this was such a complete "never would of saw this coming" that I thought it was worth mentioning here even if it ends up not happening.
The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that some within TNA are looking to make the X-Division a legitimate sports competition.
The proposal going around calls for TNA to turn the X-Division matches into "shoot" bouts with a time limit. At the end of the match, a panel of real judges would crown the winner based on who "best performed" in the contest.
Obviously, there are a number of hurdles to implementing this idea; it presently remains at the talking phase.
So yeah thoughts on this as I'm still in the stunned phase.

I doubt it would happen, it would be WAAAAAAAAY too dangerous Couldn't agree more with that especially with guys like Low-Ki/Senshi on the roster who are notorious for hitting really fucking hard. So hopefully they drop the idea or else expect many injuries to happen.

Hell, it'd just turn into backyard wrestling, probably. Which is lame.
But I still think it'd fucking rock if they decided to do it shoot-style, but not everyone would end up on the injured list.
Edit: Also, it's actually just TNA now. THey're no longer NWA-TNA. They withdrew from NWA and have the rights to the NWA World Title and the NWA World Tag Team Titles until 2014.
